Shari earned her MFA with an emphasis in ceramics from the University of Miami, Florida and her BFA from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls.
She is a practicing studio artist and is currently the Arts/Industry Pottery Technician for the John Michael Kohler Arts Center.
Her work has most recently been exhibited at ARTspace in Kohler, Wisconsin, and at Baltimore Clay Works in Baltimore, Maryland.
Shari has taught at the Tainan National University of the Arts in Tainan, Taiwan and at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. She has been a resident artist at Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts in Maine,the Tainan National University for the Arts in Taiwan,and the Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass Village, Colorado. She has lectured at the Pottery Workshop in Jindezhen China, at Miami International University, Florida, and at the University of Wisconsin–River Falls, where she juried the annual student show.
